 Application Letter

An application letter is a document that expresses your interest in a job opening. This letter describes how you are as a person and a professional in brief. In the letter, it is necessary to highlight what kind of achievements and skills are related to the intended position.


GUIDELINE TO WRITE

1. Opening

The opening section consists of:

  • Header, in the form of letterhead with your name and contact information, including address, cellphone number, and email.
  • The date of writing of the letter
  • Addressed to whom. If you have detailed contact information for the intended company, you can write the name of the person concerned, along with the title, company, and address. If not available, it can be addressed to the HR department or HRD.
  • Salutations, such as "With respect, ..." or "Dear Mr./Ms. Last Name. " Leave it blank if you have no contact name.

2. Contents

In the body of the letter, convey each paragraph in a concise, concise and clear manner, so that it is not wordy. The initial section contains information on why you wrote the letter, the position you are aiming for, and where the job information came from. If there are references, please also mention them in this section.

Next, write down some of your strengths according to the resume / CV summary results. Don't just copy and paste your resume, but try to highlight personal qualifications and e

xperiences that are relevant and match the intended position.

3. Closing

End the letter with a thank you to the employer for considering your job application. Also include detailed contact information so that the company can easily contact you. Then, close with a greeting such as "Sincerely, ..." and your signature.
